Woburn Public Library Children's Room Halloween Party

On Saturday, October 29, 2010, from 3 - 4 pm. The Children’s Room of the Woburn Public Library is celebrating their annual Halloween party. Wear your costumes and huddle together with your friends as Children’s Librarian Cynthia Fordham brews up some scary especially for this frightful holiday! Witch’s brew, crunchy bat wings, and other monstrous treats will be on hand for the very brave to munch on. Be there!!!



The 14th Annual Woburn Letter Carriers Canned Food Drive

It's time for the 14th Annual Woburn Letter Carriers canned food drive. This Saturday our mail carriers will be collecting food for the Woburn Council of Social Concern. The Food pantry desperately needs your donation for this holiday season. Please leave your contributions at your mailbox by 9:00 a.m. Please no fresh items, only canned and dry goods will be accepted. Thank you for supporting the families in Woburn & Winchester that count on these food baskets for their holiday season.

Fun Fundraising for the Woburn BGC!

Thirsty for a fun and inexpensive night out with friends? The Boys & Girls Club of Woburn is having a Micro Brew Tasting hosted by Colonial Package Store and the American Legion (Lexington Street)
from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Just $25 gets you in the middle of all the action. All proceeds will go directly to the Boys & Girls Club of Woburn! A cash bar will also be available for those interested in something other than the available microbrews!
This is a 21+ event only!

Woburn Farmer's Market Harvest Festival

On Sunday, October 23rd, the Woburn Farmer’s Market at Spence Farm will offer twice the fun for the entire family, extending its hours from 11 AM until 3 PM. In addition to the regular Farmer’s Market, come for the Second Annual Harvest Festival, which will offer the following free activities for children: pumpkin decorating, a bouncy house and helium balloons. There will also be a petting zoo, corn maize and hayrides for the entire family at no charge. Food and beverages will also be available. Live music will be provided by the band “Seen Better Days” featuring Woburn’s own Chris DiFraia.

The Woburn Agricultural Commission encourages everyone to stop by on Sunday, October 23rd to enjoy the festivities!

St. Charles Fall Fair & Lobster Lunch

The annual St. Charles Fall Craft Fair will be open to the public from 12 - 3 p.m. on Friday, November 4 and 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 5 at the St. Charles School, located behind the church at 280 Main St. in Woburn.

There will be two seatings for the annual St. Charles Lobster Lunch on Friday (only), November 4 at 12 noon & 1 p.m. Tickets for lunch are $15 and include a lobster or chicken salad roll, chowder, chips, cake and coffee. Call the St. Charles Rectory at 781-933-0300 for tickets. The fair will feature crafts from the St. Charles Community as well as featuring outside crafters. Craft tables are available for rent. $35 for one day and $60 for two. There will be a White Elephant Room, Baked Goods table, and great Raffles.

YMCA Haunted Hallways

Believe it or not, Halloween is almost here! Come celebrate the Y’s Haunted Hallways on Friday October 28th from 6 - 8 p.m. The YMCA hopes to duplicate the success of last year's event again this year and is in need of volunteers during this time to help with set up, games in the gym, guided tours, actors, people to scare, and much more. Set up for the event begins around noon and breakup is done by 9 p.m. The more people that attend, the more fun to be had!

Mary Cummings Park Fall Picnic

The Friends of Mary Cummings Park are having their Fall Picnic on Sunday October 9th from 1 to 3pm. The event is taking place at Mary Cummings Park, Babylon Hill Field at the top of Blanchard Rd. in Burlington.  There is an entrance sign and parking across the street.
