The Friends of Mary Cummings Park invite you to participate in the 3rd annual Photograph Contest. Submissions may depict anything in the park, such as wildlife and nature, people having fun in the park, or scenic pictures. The Mary Cummings Park is located behind Northeastern University’s Burlington campus, bordered by South Bedford Road and Blanchard Road near the Burlington Mall. The size of the photograph must be no larger than 9” x 12” and matted, with a maximum of three (3) entries per photographer. All contest entries will be accepted at our lead sponsor’s store, Ritz Camera of 103 Commerce Way in Woburn through October 10, 2010. Awards and prizes of $100, $50, and $25 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, respectively, will be given in each of the following categories:

Ritz Camera of Woburn will be offering a complimentary photography workshop
on “Color and Composition.” The workshop will be held on Saturday, September
11th (rain date is September 25th) from 4:00 p.m.— 7:30 p.m. Please call Ritz
Camera at 781-938-0236 to reserve your spot, as space is limited to 15 participants.
The workshop will begin at the Sylvanus Wood Lane entrance of the Mary
Cummings Park.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 4th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Murray-Kelly room at the Senior Center located in Burlington.
Mary Cummings Park is the 12th largest public parkland inside of Route 128, boasting 210 acres of woodlands, wetlands, and meadows that provide wonderful opportunities for recreation and artistic creation.
