Friends of Mary Cummings Park Teams Up With Amazon

Shopping Bags

With the official start of the Holiday shopping season upon us, I wanted to let you know that Friends of Mary Cummings Park has its own Amazon affiliates page where you can purchase items from Amazon and we will get between 4% and 8% of the purchase price.

To shop please visit our Amazon page: www.cummingspark.org/amazon/

Friends of Mary Cummings park is a small, all volunteer organization so we don't need much to keep us going. But when we help organize projects and activities at the park each year it requires that we purchase materials and supplies for volunteers. And then the website, insurance, and government mandated filing fees requires some money also.

Similar organizations, supporting large public spaces in and around Boston, operate with tens or even hundreds of times the amount of money we do.

And with your help we would like to do more in the future.

Horn Pond Memorial Lantern Walk

Friends of Mary Cummings ParkThe Horn Pond Memorial Lantern Walk is open to all who wish to walk together to remember our cherished loved ones who have passed away from our earth. We light our lanterns to signify our connections with each other and those whose spirits are still with us. Each year hundreds of lantern walkers circle Horn Pond together with light. If you would like to make your own lantern for someone in your life you are welcome to the Lantern Workshops at Whole Foods. We will have ready made lanterns at the pond and ask for a donation for the work of the Friends of Mary Cummings Trust Park to keep the trust left to the public by Mary Cummings.
