City of Woburn Charter Available Online

The charter for the City of Woburn is available online for the first time ever.  The current Charter of the City of Woburn dates back to its adoption in 1897. It has been amended many times through both special acts and general laws adopted by the Legislature. The following page contains the Charter, references to the amendments and laws that affected the Charter, and editorial comments that provide guidance in interpreting various sections. 

This is the first electronic version of the Charter and is the first comprehensive compiliation since 1966.
