Expanded gambling isn't the answer

Sales taxes of 3%, 5% and 6.25% and the lottery have not lessened the burden on the Massachusetts taxpayer. Casinos and racinos will not lighten the taxpayer's loads. For the taxpayer to benefit from casinos and racinos, the state needs to cut unnecessary spending and stop cutting local aid. Until that happens, there will not be any additional revenue for cities and towns.
