Grandchildren's Day at the Senior Center
The Woburn Senior Center will host an intergenerational day on Wednesday, February 22, and welcomes all seniors to bring along a grandchild or great-grandchild. The morning will begin at 9:45am with a buffet breakfast including scrambled eggs, French toast, sausage, assorted pastries, juice, and coffee. The cost for adults is $2 and all children will eat for free. For the children, there will also be applesauce cups, juice boxes, granola bars and treat bags.
At 10:30am the 1969 version of the movie “Pippi Longstocking” will be shown in the Senior Center’s comfortable library. The day will also include craft projects and door prizes for all children. Craft projects include “Valentine inchworms”; “Jeweled Snowflakes” and “Valentine Handprints”. The children are welcome to take home their craft projects or have the option of donating them to a local nursing home.
All are welcome to attend this program. For any seniors who do not have a child to bring along, you are welcome to attend anyway. There is no prior registration for this drop-in event. This program is funded through the Northwest Suburban Health Alliance/CHNA 15 DoN funds from Lahey Clinic. For directions to the Woburn Senior Center please call 781-897-5960. The Woburn Senior Center is handicap accessible.
