Horn Pond Bird Walk

From date:
Sat, 09/25/2010 - 7:30am - 10:30am

Diana & Paul will be leading another Bird Walk this Saturday.

WHERE: Woburn Horn Pond Conservation Area
STARTING PLACE: The Woburn Parkway entrance at Sturgis and Water Streets

We will take a half day walk, exploring the varied habitats of the Horn Pond Conservation Area. The first half of the walk will focus on the main pond, accompanying lagoons and marsh areas in search of migrating fall warblers and sparrows. The second half will focus on Horn Pond Mountain (elev. ~254 ft.) in search of Fall Warblers, Field Sparrow, Indigo Bunting and Eastern Towhee. This part of the walk has terrain that may be uneven, with muddy areas possible.

Co-sponsored by Brookline Bird Club and Menotomy Bird Club. Be sure to bring your cameras plus binoculars and a bird book if you have them.
