Library Building Committee at City Council meeting
The Trustees of the Woburn Public Library and the Library Building Committee will present the schematic designs for the renovation of and addition to the Library before the City Council TONIGHT, Tuesday, July 6 at 7:30 PM.
The Library Trustees urge all of our loyal patrons and supporters to come to the City Council meeting Tuesday and show their support for the Library. If you cannot attend the meeting, please call or email the Mayor and the Council to express your support.
If we remain silent, no action will be taken, no changes will be made, the Library's mission of service will fail and our beautiful bastion of learning will be home to apathy and not achievement. Please come and let your voice be heard.
"Our most important public building and community symbol is in dire need of renovation and expansion to fulfill its mission of benefiting the people of Woburn," President and Trustee of the Woburn Public Library, Janet Rabbitt says.
Improvements to the National Historic Landmark will be presented with floor plans, a scale model, and a computer animated walk through of the building and planned addition.
