Project Bread Program Needs Volunteers

The North Suburban YMCA in Woburn has become a partner with the Project Bread program.

Each summer, they create a pool of volunteers to serve lunches to underprivileged kids in the community. Every week day from June 28th through September 3rd, volunteers take lunches to the Green Street Pool and distribute them to kids who need them.

They're beginning the recruitment process now! If you're looking for a summer project, or just want to help a day or two, this is a great way to give back in the lazy summertime when need is still around.

You can pick a few days here and there, or you can commit to one a day a week for the whole summer. All of our volunteers need to be trained before starting up; there will be a training on Wednesday, June 2nd at 6 pm in addition to others yet to be determined.
