Senior Olympics Start Next Week
The Senior Olympic sign-ups have begun this week for this year's festivities, held at the Woburn Senior Center on 144 School Street, with the events to follow from Monday, June 8th until the closing ceremonies on Friday, June 12th. The schedule is as follows:
6/8
8:15am - Golf
9am - Scrabble
11am - Senior Olympic Opening
1pm - Whist
6/9
9am - Horseshoes
11am - Pool
1pm - Bowling
6/10
11am - Shuffleboard
1pm - Cribbage
6/11
9am - Putting
Noon - Hand and Foot
1pm - Field Bocce
6/12
Noon - Senior Olympics Closing and Ice Cream Social

Directions to the Woburn Senior Center: From 128: Take Exit 35 (Route 38, Woburn/Wilmington). Head North on Route 38 and at the first set of lights coming out of the rotary (Stop & Shop will be on your left), take a right onto Alfred Street. Follow this winding road for almost a mile, bearing left at the fork in the road. At the end of the road you will come to a stop sign, take a left onto School St.
Council on Aging Programs are made possible by the City of Woburn and the Woburn Council on Aging (via the Executive Office of Elder Affairs) and “Friend’s Helping Seniors, Inc.” All Woburn Senior Center activities are handicapped accessible.
