Woburn Boy & Girl Club Appliance/Freon Bearing/CRT Device Recycling Collection
Wondering what to do with that old television, computer monitor or appliance that is broken, unwanted or unused and just taking up space? Paul Medeiros has found and is working with a Massachusetts company that will collect these items at drop off sites set up throughout Woburn at various times throughout the year. This is an excellent opportunity to recycle these items at a minimal cost compared to the high cost associated with curbside appliance recycling programs and will also be a fundraiser for local organizations that will sponsor these events. Another good thing and possibly the best part of this program is that it is open to residents from any and all communities, not just Woburn, as well as any and all business entities. With your help these collections have raised over $86,000dollars for local Woburn organizations with a portion going to the Woburn high school scholarship fund in a bit more than 3 years! So clean out those basements, attics, garages and warehouses and bring your items down to the farm!
This collection will be on Saturday, May 21 from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Woburn’s Spence Farm located at 41 Wyman Street, in Woburn benefitting the Woburn Boy's & Girl's Club and their many programs. A portion of the proceeds will be going towards the scholarship fund for a Woburn High School graduating senior that will be continuing their education in the field of environmental education. Come see Woburn's newest piece of open space, help out the club and the environment all at the same time.
If you miss or cannot attend this collection the next one will be on Saturday, June 18 from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Woburn’s Spence Farm located at 41 Wyman Street in Woburn from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M benefitting the Woburn Breakfast Lion’s Club.

Thanks to all!
Well the first appliance recycling collection held at Spence Farm went off without a hitch and and kudos to the Woburn Boys and Girls club for providing such wonderful help. We raised almost 1400 dollars for the club and another 200 dollars more to the Medeiros Crew Recycling scholarship fund. Thanks to our friends and family that continue to show up and help at every single event and the local media outlets that continually promote the events for us.
