YMCA International Learning Center Needs New Classrooms

YMCA

The YMCA International Learning Center has recently been notified that it must find a new site for their English as a Second Language classes.  They are asking the community to help them look for appropriate space within Woburn.  They would be willing to share space with another program or service as they have with the After School Program.

Minimum Necessary Requirements:

    * 4 classrooms 8:30-2:00-at least 1 must be handicapped accessible.
    * 1 room for Computer lab 8:30-2:00-must be handicapped accessible, internet capable, large enough for 14 desktop computers.
    * Locked space for office: Files are required to be kept secure and on the premises, internet capable, storage for reference materials, space for teacher cabinets in office or classrooms.
    * Handicapped accessible bathroom
    * Located in Woburn

Needs of Learners:

    * Prefer to stay in Woburn Center vicinity. Many of our learners walk to school or take a bus.
    * Parking availability

They would appreciate everyone getting the word out in the community that they are looking for space.  Please contact Elaine Dougherty, the site director of the YMCA International Learning Center at 781-935-6499 with any questions or suggestions you may have.

This program is funded through a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the MetroNorth Regional Employment Board, and the United Way.
