New SCI AmeriCorps Position Here in Woburn

We are currently accepting applications for a half-year AmeriCorps position that starts in late January 2012 and serves through June 2012.  The position based here in Woburn is as an Outreach and Technology Coordinator who will be helping to develop and market cross-community volunteer recruitment efforts, and collaborative systems for recruiting and managing volunteers.

This fall, five new SCI AmeriCorps Members started at different non-profit organizations in Woburn.  Although we all are from different places originally, for this year we are all proud to call Woburn our home.  Each AmeriCorps Member is either a Youth Leadership Coordinator or an Outreach & Technology Coordinator. 
 

SCI is Recruiting

Social Capital Inc. is recruiting new AmeriCorps members for 5 Mass. Seven New AmeriCorps Members Begin Serving Woburn

AmeriCorps LogoSocial Capital Inc. (SCI) has recently been joined by a new team of AmeriCorps Members.  These new members have been placed throughout the Woburn community, helping several different organizations expand their services to the community during this time of need.

Michael Cooper serves is serving as an Outreach and Technology Coordinator for the SCI Woburn office.  He manages the "Week in Woburn" eNews, serves as webmaster for the SCI Woburn website and operates various other web technologies for other SCI sites.  He has a B.A. in Philosophy from Furman University, an M.A. in Philosophy from Texas Tech University, and is currently finishing his M.S. in Ethics and Public Policy from Suffolk University.

AmeriCorps LogoOutreach & Technology Coordinator: The Outreach & Technology Coordinator will serve as a member on the Connecting Citizens AmeriCorps team, and will implement technology systems and traditional outreach efforts to connect citizens with the information they need to participate in civic life.
