Global Youth Service Day is an annual celebration of youth in service. GYSD is the largest service event in the world engaging youth in over 100 countries and remains the only day of service dedicated to children and youth. By participating in this project, you will be joining millions of youth everywhere for the world’s largest annual day of youth service!

Boys and Girls Club of Woburn: Positive Place For Summer Camp

Woburn Youth Council Mini-Grants Release!

Have you ever felt strong about a community issue, and money was your only obstacle?  Are you a youth in Woburn with a passion to make a difference?  Check out the Woburn Youth Council mini-grant application and apply for a grant today!

This year, once again, the Woburn Youth Council is hosting a minigrant program for interested youth led organizations. Minigrants are given to fund youth initiated projects. Throughout the years we have helped fund over 50 different projects from many different groups.

Health Carnival at the Boys and Girls Club

Boys and Girls Club of WoburnThe Boys and Girls Club of Woburn in conjunction with UMass-Boston will be hosting a Health Carnival this Saturday, November 7th from 1 to 4pm.  We would like to invite all to come down to learn how to improve your healthy habits through interactive displays and activities!  Challenge your knowledge of the food pyramid, better your tooth brushing techniques, and test your physical prowess on the obstacle course!

Y Leaders Club Kick-off event!

YMCACalling teens ages 13-18 to join the YMCA in a movie night extravaganza!  Friday November 20 the North Suburban YMCA will be showing Star Trek in its Teen Room from 6:30-9:00pm (for those who question the choice in movie it's the Star Trek released earlier this year)!  The event will kick start Y Leaders Club!

SCI Woburn Youth Council Debuts "Speak Up for Healthy Teen Relationships!"

Speak Up!SCI's Woburn Youth Council hosted an evening screening of its recently completed Public Service Announcement (PSA)  "Speak Up for Healthy Teen Relationships!" Saturday evening at the Boys & Girls Club of Woburn.  The PSA was presented during an evening of activities set up for Woburn teens.  A great group of teens joined Woburn Youth Council members to think about how to make teens in Woburn safer, healthier and happier.

SCI Woburn Youth Council Awards Mini-Grants

Mini-Grant AwardThe Woburn Youth Council is proud to announce it has decided to fund 6 mini-grant projects.  Each project funded by the Woburn Youth Council is a community service learning project led by a Woburn youth.   The projects accomplish SCI's major goals in its youth programming: engage youth in service of their community and create a new generation of young leaders.
